Northfield Park Weekly Handicapping Challenge
The weekly Wednesday Northfield Park Handicapping Challenge kicked off on September 2nd and will run through November 18th, with the championship finals on Wednesday, November 25th.
Harness Racing in Goshen – Labor Day Weekend
The Harness Racing Museum & Hall of Fame in Goshen, will be open during the races at Goshen Historic Track on Sunday (Sept. 6), and also on Labor Day, Monday (Sept. 7). Museum hours on Sunday will be 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Labor Day hours will be 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Museum admission will be free on both days.

Thursday night’s (Sept, 3) program at MGM Yonkers Raceway got a boost to the wagering menu when no one hit the Pick-5 on Tuesday (Sept. 1), triggering a $6,676.44 carryover and a $35,000 pool in the sequence.
Meadows Monday Memo
Hollywood Casino at The Meadows will race Wednesday (Sept. 2) and Thursday (Sept. 3) this week at 12:45pm, Friday evening at 5:10pm, and Saturday at 12:45pm. This will be the final 4-day race week of the summer, as this is the final Saturday of racing until late November. Next week, the track will shift to its Fall schedule, with racing Wednesday, Thursday and Friday (Sept. 4) afternoons at 12:45 p.m.
Carryovers trigger $30,000 guaranteed pools in Monday’s late Pick-4 & Pick-5 at Yonkers
The late Pick-4 and the Pick-5 were not hit on Saturday afternoon (Aug. 29) at MGM Yonkers Raceway, so there will be a $2,535.18 carryover in the late Pick-4 and a $1,741.61 carryover in the Pick-5 in race 5 when racing resumes on Monday (Aug. 31). Both pools will be guaranteed at $30,000.
Post time change at Batavia Downs starting Saturday
Horsemen and racing fans alike should be advised that due to a lighting issue requiring necessary repairs, Batavia Downs will temporarily adjust the daily post time to 4 p.m. (EDT) beginning this Saturday (Aug. 29) and running through Saturday, Sept. 5.
