Wednesday night (May 29) marked another tough Pick-5 sequence resulting in a $5,195 carryover at MGM Northfield Park. The pool will roll over to the June lid-lifter on Saturday night (June 1).

A purse increase will take place at MGM Yonkers Raceway beginning with the condition sheet that comes out on Monday (May 27) and effective for races starting Monday (June 3). High-end races will have a boost of approximately 10 percent, while low-end races will bump up by up to 15 percent.

Due to severe thunderstorms occurring just before post time, Buffalo Raceway officials were forced to cancel the 12-race card on Wednesday afternoon (May 22).

A tough sequence for bettors left Tuesday night’s (May 21) Pick-5 at MGM Northfield Park without a winning combination. As such, $5,358 will be rolled over to the Wednesday (May 22) mid-card delight.

Last year, TV host Dave Little prevailed in the 19-day Battle of the Masterminds with an $11,643 bankroll, raising $1,000 for his selected charity, the Standardbred Retirement Foundation.
