The Meadowlands Amateur Driving Club is making an impact this holiday season with their end-of-season charity donations.

This Friday (Dec. 13) is the last night to donate to Meadowlands Racetrack’s Toys for Tots collection drive. Your contribution, no matter how big or small, can make a significant difference in a child’s life this holiday season.

The Ohio Harness Horsemen’s Association will be giving away five large-screen televisions, tickets to a football game, Roku sticks, and subscriptions to Racetrack Television Network on Saturday (Dec. 14) at MGM Northfield Park in Cleveland. 

The 2024 racing season wrapped up at Batavia Downs last Saturday (Dec. 7) and that also closed the track’s books for the year. After all the paperwork was finalized, the bottom line showed that the business of harness racing at Batavia Downs is operating at a record pace.

For the third consecutive card there were no winning tickets in the Pick-5 at MGM Northfield Park. Without a winning combination, $44,730 is rolled over to the Tuesday (Dec. 10) mid-card delight.

First Tracks Cumberland has cancelled racing for Sunday (Dec. 8) due to the inclement weather.

Not only could you see fireworks in the distant sky, but the “home of the flying turns” sent off their own rockets with multiple longshots winning on the card. It wreaked havoc on all the multi-race sequences.
