Anderson, IN – In the opener, Champagne Room piloted by Jordan Ross for trainer Ron Burke wired the field in the $22,000 Fillies and Mares Open Pace at Hoosier Park on Saturday (Sept. 26).
On the outside in post seven, Champagne Room gunned out of the wings to secure the early lead, rounding the first turn in :25.4. Single-file along the backstretch Goo Goo Won (Ricky Macomber Jr) and Brooklets Rockette (Kevin Lambright) chased the leader as Champagne Room showed the seven-horse field to the halfway mark in :54.
While Champagne Room met the three-quarter turn in 1:22, Brooklets Rockette tilted out to the right of Goo Goo Won, looking to get the jump on second and the leader on the homestretch. Champagne Room looked to be clear, but Brooklets Rockette found another gear, surfacing on the outside. Slamming the wire by a nose in 1:50, Champagne Room fended off the late charge from Brooklets Rockette. Brooklets Rockette claimed second, while Goo Goo Won held for the show.

She tallied her third win of her four-year-old campaign, adding to her $416,643 lifetime earnings account and paid $3.20 to win.
Champagne Room set the stage for a five-win night for driver Ross on the 12-race card. Along with Champagne Room, Ross found the winner’s circle in race 3 with Seal The Deal As, race 6 with Cs Flying Co-Pilot, race 8 with Dry Creek Regal and race 11 with Twin B Seamonster.
Live racing resumes Tuesday, Sept. 29 for the last Tuesday night of live racing at Hoosier Park for the 2026 season. The 14-race card features the $10,000 guaranteed Late Pick-4 and the $10,000 guaranteed Late Hoosier High-5 done in partnership with the USTA’s Strategic Wagering Program.
