Dover, DE — Chapheart scored his second consecutive win in Tuesday’s (March 11) $19,000 Winners Over/Select Trot at Bally’s Dover.
Chapheart and Plumville Prince were quickest away from the starting gate. Plumville Prince held a brief lead before Chapheart rushed to the lead at the end of a :27.3 quarter after settling into the pocket. Chapheart raced comfortably on the lead and backed the half down to :58. Muscledover started his first-over grind before the half and continued on his journey up the backstretch, towing Every Day Dan with him second-over. Chapheart, the 2-5 favorite, remained in total control of the race and reached the three-quarters in 1:26.
As the outside tier began to wilt, Plumville Prince and Rivers took full advantage of their ground-saving trips, however those bids also failed. Chapheart won by a half length and trotted the mile in 1:55.

Plumville Prince finished second and Rivers was third.
Chapheart, a son of Chapter Seven who paid $2.80 to win, is owned by Michael Casalino Jr. and Dylan Davis Racing. Pat Berry drove for trainer Dylan Davis.
Tony Morgan and Tim Tetrick drove three winners apiece.
Wednesday’s (March 12) card features the $25,000 Mares Open Handicap Pace, carded as race 10. Last week’s 20-1 upset winner Factory Girl takes on Majorca N, Incaseyoudidntknow and Disturbed Hanover. The card also boasts a $1,579 carryover in the Pick-4 (races 10-13). First post is 4:30 p.m.
