Cindy Weitoish, 67, dies

Columbus, OH — Cindy Weitoish, 67, of Wapwallopen, Pa., died Aug. 27, 2023, with family by her side.

Born in Wilkes-Barre, she was the daughter of Arlene Zolnenowicz Grzybowski of Sugar Notch and the late John Grzybowski. She was a graduate of Hanover Area High School and was a true equestrian throughout her life.

She had a passion for animals and funneled that energy into rescuing and supporting organizations that rescue. She was an active member of the PHHA and an advocate for the Equines for Freedom organization.

She adored her grandchildren, enjoyed dressage, racing and riding horses, and maintaining the beautiful farm she worked so hard to build.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her brother, John Grzybowski.

Left to cherish her memory is her mother, Arlene Zolnenowicz Grzybowski; her loving husband of 18 years, Stanley; stepson, Stan (Amie); stepdaughter, Stacey (Chris) Harman; grandchildren, Olivia, Maizie, Benjamin Harman and Penelope Harman; and nephew, Jared Grzybowski.

She will be forever remembered by her loving friends and family in the horse community.

Memorial service will be conducted on Friday (Sept. 1) at 7 p.m. from the Desiderio-Lehman Funeral and Cremation, 436 S. Mountain Blvd, Mountain Top. Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. until the time of service, Friday, at the funeral home.
