Nichols, NY – City Of Hope, driven by Ridge Warren, won the $10,500 featured trot at Tioga Downs on Saturday (June 6).

City Of Hope was first to the quarter in :28.3. He went :29.1 in the second quarter, putting him at the half first in :57.4. Kingpin Hanover (driver Jim Pataleano) came first-up to challenge as they headed down the backside. City Of Hope was the first one to three-quarters, getting there in 1:26.
As the field made the turn for home, second-place finisher Sir Maverick (Jim Taggert Jr.) became the major danger but City Of Hope dug in and won in 1:56. Doc Nixon (Ron Cushing) finished third.
City Of Hope is a 6-year-old gelding by Met’s Hall. He is owned by Philip Hale and trainer David Dewhurst. It was his fourth win of the season and his 35th career victory. He paid $3.70 to win.
Pantaleano had a driving triple. Warren and Kyle Swift had driving doubles.
Tioga Downs returns to live racing on Sunday (June 7) starting at 12:30 p.m. (EDT).
