Crystal Fashion seals the deal at Bally’s Dover

Dover, DE — Crystal Fashion followed second-over cover and won the Open Handicap Trot at Bally’s Dover on Tuesday night (Nov. 21).

I Get It worked hard with two moves early in the race and set the tone, carving out the opening quarter in :27.4. I Get It and Driver Victor Kirby backed off to a :30 second quarter, reaching the half in 57.4 over the sloppy surface.

The 12-year-old JL Cruze moved first-up past the half while Crystal Fashion shadowed second-over in line to Tim Tetrick. I Get It remained stubborn on the rail as JL Cruze moved alongside noses apart. The team reached the three-quarter pole in 1:26.1. Crystal Fashion, the 2-5 favorite, angled three-wide at the top of the stretch and exploded late to win by a neck in 1:55.3. JL Cruze was second; I get it was third.
