Dover, DE – This award is given by the Delaware Valley Chapter of the United States Harness Writers Association to honor those unsung heroes in the harness racing sport who work long hours and care for our Standardbreds day in and day out.

Wyatt Vitale-Beaver and Judy Couture were 2023 co-winners.

Caretakers of the Year for the USHWA Delaware Valley were given to Wyatt Vitale-Beaver and Judy Couture.

Wyatt was nominated by trainer Chris Scicluna and Judy was nominated by trainer Jason Skinner and his wife owner Susan Skinner.

Each winner has received $250 and today in the winners circle they were presented a personalized Caretaker of the Year jacket by Judy Davis-Wilson and Mark Short.
