Disturbed Hanover wins the mares condition pace at Bally’s Dover

Dover, DE – Disturbed Hanover benefitted from a second-over trip and won the mares condition pace at Bally’s Dover on Wednesday (March 1) night.

Divine Deo, the 9/5 betting favorite, floated from the outside, then sprinted to the lead at the quarter in a fast :26.4. Shes Pukka N accepted the pocket trip. Divine Deo controlled the pace, reaching the half in :56 (:29.1). At the 5/8th marker, Darby Hanover moved first-over, from fourth, marching down the backstretch. Disturbed Hanover shadowed second-over on the rim.

The three-quarters were reached in 1:24 (:28) as Darby Hanover wore down the pacesetter Divine Deo. Darby Hanover held a brief lead in the stretch but weakened late.

Disturbed Hanover stormed past the field and won by a length and a quarter in 1:52.4. She paid $19.80 for the win. Disturbed Hanover (Big Jim) is owned by The Whiz Kids Stable LLC of Dover, Delaware. W. Bart Dalious trains and drove.

Darby Hanover finished second for trainer Noel Daley. Corey Callahan drove. A Delightful Act N picked up the show spot for trainer Joshua Parker and driver Montrell Teague. There is a Pick-5 carryover of $1,057 to Thursday’s (March 2) card. The wager is offered on the sixth race.
