Dover, DE — Disturbed Hanover was a wire-to-wire winner in the $25,000 Mares Open Handicap Pace on Wednesday night (Feb. 12) at Bally’s Dover.
Driver Barton Dalious, knowing that Disturbed Hanover loves the off going, raced her aggressively from the start and forced 1-5 favorite Incaseyoudidntknow to settle into the pocket through a :27.1 opening quarter. Disturbed Hanover had the field stacked up single file as she splashed to the half in :56.4.
Incaseyoudidntknow vacated the pocket to challenge Disturbed Hanover through three-quarters in 1:25.2 while Factory Girl remained along the pylons in third but stalled. At the top of the stretch, Incaseyoudidntknow offered a minor challenge but weakened late. Disturbed Hanover stormed home to win by a length in 1:53. Incaseyoudidntknow finished second and Blood Moon A was third.

W. Bart Dalious trains Disturbed Hanover, a daughter of Big Jim who paid $12.00 to win, for The Wiz Kids Stable.
Tim Tetrick scored seven driving wins on the 15-race card.
Track announcer Jack Gallagher celebrated his 80th birthday on Wednesday night. In the 56-year history of harness racing at Bally’s Dover, there have been only two track announcers: Lou Krongold and Gallagher. Gallagher has always carried his blue-collar work ethic during his tenure as track announcer, having only missed a handful of assignments through his 40-plus years at Dover.
