Dover, DE — Disturbed Hanover exploded in the stretch to post a 18-1 upset in Wednesday night’s (Jan. 15) $25,000 Mares Open Handicap Pace at Bally’s Dover.
It was an early skirmish at the start as 3-5 favorite Elektra A parked out Majorca N through a :27 opening quarter. Majorca N eventually cleared and continued on a comfortable lead, passing the half in :56 before encountering a rapidly moving outside flow up the backstretch. Factory Girl raced first-up into the chilly elements, carrying Linemup Knockmback and Disturbed Hanover into the flow while Elektra A waited patiently in the pocket.
Factory Girl wore down pacesetter Majorca N and took control passing the three-quarters in 1:24, only for Disturbed Hanover to launch four-wide into the lane and marched home to win by a half length in 1:53.1.

Linemup Knockmback finished second; Factory Girl was third.
Disturbed Hanover, a daughter of Big Jim who paid $39.80 to win, is owned by The Wiz Kids Stable LLC. Barton Dalious drove for trainer W. Bart Dalious.
Thursday’s (Jan. 16) program is led by the $25,000 Blue Hen Open Pace, carded as race 12 and featuring Wehadababyetzaboy and Itsrockandroll A, and a $2,566 carryover into the Early Pick-4 (races 2-5). First post is 4:30 p.m.
