Donald A. Filomeno passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, on Saturday, April 1, 2023, at the golden age of 82.

Beloved Husband of Joann nee Miletta, Filomeno, for a loving 62 years. Devoted Father of Patricia Filomeno, Donna Marie (Camillo) Bruno, and John (Cherise) Filomeno. Loving Son of the late Dominic and the late Carmella. Fond Grandfather of Anthony (Guadalupe) Bruno, Dominic Bruno, Ashley (Michael) Alexander, Regina Filomeno, Joseph Filomeno, and Nick (Yeirasusen) Filomeno. Loving Great-Grandfather of Luca Bruno, William Alexander, Mia Alexander, Olivia Alexander, Luke Alexander, Charlotte Key, Dominic Filomeno, Isaac Filomeno, and Avery Filomeno. Dear Brother of Kathleen (late Thomas) Soukup, and Joanne (late Thomas) Wallich. Dear Uncle of many beloved nieces and nephews. Donald had a passion for all aspects of harness horse racing, which will be honored and carried on by his family.

Family and friends are to gather for the Visitation on Tuesday, April 4, 2023 from 3:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at Russo’s Hillside Chapels, 4500 Roosevelt Road, Hillside, IL 60162 (located between Mannheim & Wolf Road). Funeral to follow Wednesday, April 5, 2023 from Russo’s Hillside Chapels at 9:00 A.M. proceeding to St. Odilo Catholic Church, 2244 East Avenue, Berwyn, Illinois 60402. Mass of Christian Burial celebrated promptly at 11:00 A.M. Interment at Mt. Carmel Cemetery, Hillside, IL. For additional info. call (708) 449-5300.
