Edward Strawser, 85, dies

Columbus, OH — Edward W. “Yock” Strawser, 85, of Amanda, Ohio, died April 3, 2013, at The Pickering House in Lancaster.

He was born April 20, 1927, in Circleville, a son of the late Edward and Minnie (Cooper) Strawser. He was a graduate of Circleville High School, class of 1949.

He was retired from Columbus & Southern Electric as a control operator.

Mr. Strawser was a member of the United States Trotting Association, the Pickaway County Horsemen’s Association and the Circleville Elks Lodge.

He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth “Darlene” (Brown); children, Tim (Edie), Annette, Becky (Mark) Shaw, Dwight (Jodi) Seymour, Neal (Tammy) Seymour and John (June) Seymour; grandchildren, Nathan (Tammi), Jeremy, Heather, Brittany, Drew, Richard, Rachel, Tanner, Casi, Shannon, Jennifer (Tony), Lauren (Joe), Catheryn, Neal, Connor, Abigail, Clayton, Nick, Caroline and Sophia; great grandchildren, Tatum, Ava, Alexis and Michael; sisters, Betty Neal and Margaret Downing; brothers, Jess (Midge), Zeke (Shirley) and John; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Franklin D.

The funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Monday (Apeil 8) at Defenbaugh-Wise-Schoedinger Funeral Home. Interment to follow at Reber Hill Cemetery. Friends may call from 12-5 p.m. Sunday (April 7) at the funeral home.
