Nodessa Josselyn, a filly sired by Ready Cash and out of Belina Josselyn (both winners of the Prix d’Amerique), is now the highest priced yearling in Europe.

At the Select Yearling Sale at Deauville Wednesday night (Aug. 28), Nodessa Josselyn was subject to a lot of interest around the ring. Following a long bidding war between Sabine Kagebrandt (Courant AB), Trotting Bloodstock, Thomas Bernereau and Vincent Martens, it was the latter, bidding on behalf of Steve Farugia, a Maltese owner, who got the last bid of 740,000 Euro ($820,000).
Nodessa Josselyn is the third foal by Ready Cash and out of Belina Josselyn.
The 3-year-old filly Liza Josselyn is very promising and has already established herself as one of the best French fillies in her generation. She has won six races and has taken a mark of 1:56 (mile rate) in a race over 1-11/16th miles.
The 2-year-old colt Mythique Josselyn has just qualified.
The average price at the sale was up nearly four percent compared to last year and was 66,271 Euro for 96 yearlings sold out of 161 who went through the ring.
The sale continues today and tomorrow.
