Field of 18 for Prix d’Amerique

A field of 18 trotters are declared to race in the Prix d’Amerique Sunday afternoon (Jan. 29) at Vincennes, Paris, France.

Five mares will take on the boys in the event to be raced over 2,700 meters (1-11/16 miles) with a standing start and with a total purse of 1 million Euro. The purse for the winner is 450,000 Euro.

The home team has high hopes for 5-year-old Idao de Tillard with Clement Duvaldestin in the bike and trained by his father Thierry Duvaldestin.

Duvaldestin will also race Flamme du Goutier, who his other son, Theo, will drive. Flamme du Goutier raced last Sunday, where she won the world’s richest under saddle race, the Prix de Cornulier.

The race is carded as race seven at 10:25 a.m. eastern time and can be followed at Letrot.com.
