Final week of Defiance County auction

Edgerton, OH — The Defiance County (Ohio) Area Horsemen’s Association is in the final week of its silent auction for free breedings. They have one Ohio trotting stallion, one Indiana trotting stallion, and one Michigan pacing stallion in the auction.

The Ohio trotting stallion is Third Pat (Muscle Mass-Marie Pat). Third Pat provides his services at Rudy Miller Farms of Greenfield, Ohio.

The Indiana trotting stallion is Dover Dan (Andover Hall-CR Kay Suzie). Dover Dan takes up residence at Ivy Lane Farm of Goshen, Ind.

The Michigan pacing stallion is Megatron (Mach Three-Dividend Dar). Megatron stands at Snow Ridge Farm of Clarklake, Mich.

Bids on all stallions close at 5 p.m. on Friday (March 24). At that time, the person with the second-highest bid will have the opportunity to raise his or her bid. The bidding will continue between the two highest bidders until one drops out.

The winning bidder on each stallion must pay the Defiance County Area Horsemen’s Association 10 percent of the winning bid or $100, whichever is greater, before the mare is bred. The winning bidder must pay the Association the balance of the winning bid when the mare foals in 2024.

Bids on all stallions may be phoned to Bill Peters at 419.630.5952 or e-mailed to trudypeters@williams-net.com.

Any breedings not receiving successful bids by 5 p.m. on March 24 may still be available after that date.
