First reported foal by Pebble Beach born in New Jersey

Lexington, KY — The first reported foal by Pebble Beach, the 2022 Dan Patch and O’Brien Award winner, is a colt out of Literally Hanover born early Sunday morning (Jan. 21) at Shadowbrook Farm in New Jersey.

Literally Hanover is a Bettor’s Delight mare owned by Ken and Kathy Weed. They have reported that they are extremely happy with the colt as an individual and that they are “thrilled” to have the first, much anticipated, Pebble Beach offspring. Pebble Beach stood his first year in Kentucky and this colt will be eligible for the 50 percent owners bonus from the Kentucky Standardbred Breeders Incentive fund (KYSS) for 2- and 3-year-olds.

Pebble Beach hails from a blue-blooded Brittany Farm family full of millionaires. He was an exceptional 2-year-old, taking a mark of 1:48.4 with multiple stakes wins. He backed that up as a 3-year-old with North America Cup and Breeders Crown wins as divisional Dan Patch and O’Brien Award winner.

Pebble Beach has moved to Ohio for 2024 and is standing at Sugar Valley Farm for $7,500. His book is filling fast, but spots can still be obtained by calling Diamond Creek Farm at 717.638.7100 or bookings@diamondcreekfarm.com.
