Milton, ON – Five Ontario Sires Stakes records were smashed and memorable victories were tallied one after the other in the $2.8 million Ontario Sires Stakes (OSS) Super Final card on a beautiful, but chilly Saturday night (Oct. 10) at Woodbine Mohawk Park.
Eight straight $350,000 Super Finals concluded in race 9 with Redland Rocket Man (Jody Jamieson) setting a 1:48 OSS record while winning gate-to-wire and defeating 2025 Canadian and U.S. Horse of the Year Beau Jangles by 1-1/4 lengths in the sophomore male pacing division.

The win was the fifth straight for Redland Rocket Man and pushed the son of Bulldog Hanover–Granny Hanover over $1 million lifetime to $1.12 million. Redland Rocket Man improved his record to 8-3-3 in 27 starts with the triumph.
The victory also gave trainer and part-owner John Pentland a Super Final double with offspring sired by Bulldog Hanover. Three races earlier, Pentland’s 2-year-old pacing filly Jersey Bulldog set a jaw-dropping 1:48.1 Canadian, OSS and track record that was just one-fifth-of-a-second slower than the sophomore male pacers.
Redland Rocket Man, bred by Redland Farms of Bible Hill, NS, and foaled in Prince Edward Island, was a $30,000 U.S. purchase at the 2024 Standardbred Horse Sales Company yearling sale in Harrisburg, Pa., by Pentland of Dorchester, ON, Murray Cox of Rockwood, ON and Gary Volpe of St. Thomas, ON.
The pacer was sent off at even money and paid $4.10.
Odds On Bullfrog (Travis Henry) was third, followed by Borderline Bobby (Louis-Philippe Roy) and Windor (Travis Cullen).

RACE 8– CANT TURN YOU DOWN SETS OSS RECORD IN SOPHOMORE FILLY PACE, WINS NINTH STRAIGHT
A week after winning her $100,000 OSS Grassroots Championship to qualify for the $350,000 Super Final for 3-year-old pacing fillies, Cant Turn You Down posted a stirring victory in the latter with a 1:48.3 OSS record for 26-year-old trainer, breeder and co-owner Zach Carroll of Shedden, ON.
Cant Turn You Down pulled away in the stretch to win by three lengths over Daya (Jody Jamieson).
It was the ninth straight victory for Cant Turn You Down, a daughter of Cattlewash out of Amulet Seelster driven by Bob McClure and co-owned by Sean Downey of Strathroy, ON.
Cant Turn You Down now sports earnings of $323,400 and has a record of 10-1-0 in 11 career starts.
Pownal Bay Bobbi (Louis-Philippe Roy) was third, followed by Jen Tilly (Mark MacDonald) and A Clean Deal (Doug McNair).
Sent off at 2-1, Cant Turn Your Down paid $6.60 to win.

RACE 7 – 3-YEAR-OLD TROTTING COLT STROBE LITE REPEATS IN SUPER FINALS
Two-year-old Super Final champ Strobe Lite (Louis-Philippe Roy) repeated in the $350,000 OSS Super Final for 3-year-old male trotters, winning in 1:52.
Sent off as the 2-5 favorite, the gelded son of Alarm Detector out of Shine Bright, trained by Ben Baillargeon, won by a head over Stormont Shanlyboy (Tyler Jones) to push his earnings to the cusp of $1 million lifetime (exactly $982,130) for his breeder and part-owner Glengate Farms of Erin, ON, who shares his ownership papers with Baillargeon of Guelph, ON, Claude Hamel of Orford, QC and Nunzio Vena of Bolton, ON.
Mike Me Up (James MacDonald) was third, followed by Touchedbyanangel (Doug McNair) and Thor B Good (Jonathan Drury).
Strobe Lite paid $2.80 to win.

RACE 6 – JERSEY BULLDOG SMASHES CANADIAN RECORD WITH 1:48.1 WIN IN THE 2-YEAR-OLD FILLY PACE
Jersey Bulldog (Bob McClure) smashed the Canadian, track and OSS record with an ultra-impressive 1:48.1 victory in the $350,000 OSS Super Final for rookie pacing fillies.
Sent off as the 5-2 second choice, the daughter of Bulldog Hanover out of Gallie Beach defeated 4-5 favourite Aceandaten (Doug McNair) by one length.
Jersey Bulldog, the winner of the $510,00 She’s A Great Lady on Sept. 26 at Woodbine Mohawk Park, now has earnings of $652,920 for trainer and co-owner John Pentland of Dorchester, ON, who shares the pacer with Sherri Sumner, also of Dorchester, the Jack Darling Stables of Cambridge, ON and Alan Alber of Thornhill, ON.
The pacer is now 6-1-3 in 12 starts. She paid $7.90 to win.
Qued Up (Trevor Henry) was third, followed by Twin B Mayreau (Louis-Philippe Roy) and Money Carlo (Jody Jamieson).
Bred by Mark Mullen and Stephen Dey of New Jersey, Jersey Bulldog was purchased for $40,000 at the 2025 Standardbred Horse Sales Company yearling sale in Harrisburg, Pa.

RACE 5 – CHER HILL WINS 3-YEAR-OLD FILLY TROT
Cher Hill (Doug McNair) closed well in the stretch to win the $350,000 OSS Super Final for 3-year-old trotting fillies in 1:52.4.
Sent off as the 4-5 favorite in the field of 10, the homebred daughter of Muscle Mass out of Lauramarie Hill, bred and owned by Tom Hill, won by three-quarters of a length over Twin B Showbiz (Tyler Borth).
Cher Hill, trained by Gregg McNair, improved to 8-2-3 in 23 lifetime starts, 5-2-1 in 13 2026 starts and increased her career bankroll to $548,264.
Last year’s Super Final champ Bingo Night (Tyler Jones) was third, followed by Flowing Tribute (Bob McClure) and Satu Wania (Trevor Henry).
Cher Hill paid $3.90 to win.

RACE 4 – TOTALLY TYLER FLIES HOME IN THE STRETCH TO WIN 2-YEAR-OLD COLT PACE
Totally Tyler (Jody Jamieson) was sitting sixth at the top of the stretch, but came flying home in :26.2, passing five horses in the process to win the $350,000 Super Final for 2-year-old pacing colts in 1:51.2.
The Brad Grant homebred son of Bulldog Hanover out of Band Stand, sent off as the 2-5 favorite, won by a half-length over late-closing TH Benedict (James MacDonald) to improve to 2-2-1 in 10 starts and increase his bankroll to $300,816.
Totally Tyler, trained by Scott McEneny, paid $3.50 to win.
Yes I Am Hanover (Doug McNair) was third, followed by TH Theo (Bob McClure) and No More Exs (Travis Henry).

RACE 3 – VERILY SETS 1:52.3 OSS RECORD IN 2-YEAR-OLD FILLY TROT
Verily (Louis-Philippe Roy), posted a 1:52.3 OSS record in the $350,000 Super Final for 2-year-old trotting fillies.
The daughter of Muscle Mass out of Yen, sent off as the 1-2 favorite in the field of 10, posted her fourth victory of the year in eight starts for trainer Meg Crone and owner Bill Donovan of Delray Beach, Fla. The trotter has now earned $431,575 lifetime.
Queen Of Bs (Chris Christoforou) finished 3-1/4 lengths back in second, followed by Flawless Lady (James MacDonald), Jyn Erso (Doug McNair) and Major Contender (Jody Jamieson).
Verily paid $2.90 to win.
Bred by Overseas Farms Ltd. of Cambridge, ON, Verily was a $85,000 purchase at the 2025 London Classic Yearling Sale.

RACE 2 – DETONATOER HANOVER SETS 1:52.2 OSS RECORD IN 2-YEAR-OLD COLT TROT
Detonater Hanover and driver Tyler Moore led gate-to-wire, held off 1-9 favorite D A Johnny Cash (Doug McNair) and survived a long judges’ inquiry for possible interference to win the $350,000 Super Final for 2-year-old trotting colts by a half-length in a 1:52.2 OSS record.
The son of Muscles Mass out of Dancing Flames improved to 5-3-0 in 11 starts and increased his bankroll to $529,232 for Moore’s father, trainer Dr. Ian Moore, and the Detonator Hanover Stable of Cambridge, ON.
Three Six Zero (Jody Jamieson) was third, followed by Kountry Cantab (Trevor Henery) and Tuff Gong (Louis-Philippe Roy).
Detonater Hanover paid $10.50.
The colt was bred by Hanover Shoe Farms and sold for $80,000 U.S. at the 2025 Standardbred Horse Sales Company yearling auction in Harrisburg.
