Harrington, DE – Mark Howard’s Fruit Snacker ($2.80, Tony Morgan) won his third straight race in 1:56 in the featured $22,500 Open Trot Wednesday (April 15) at Harrington Raceway.
Every Day Dan took the early lead from post position three to an opening quarter in a speedy :27.1 seconds and led the field of eight towards the half-mile in :56.4 seconds while 2/5 favorite Fruit Snacker battled first-over towards three-quarters in 1:26.1. Every Day Dan remained on top until deep stretch when Fruit Snacker gained ground late and took over in the final strides for a narrow win. The Dover Dan 4-year-old notched his 8th win in 11 starts this year. Muscledover finished third.
One race later, Dylan Davis Racing’s Capicola ($3.60, Corey Callahan) won his third straight race for the owner/trainer. It was one of three wins for Callahan.
