Fort Washington, MD — Overlooked at 10-1 odds, P T Stable’s Go Now mounted a massive three-wide push up the backstretch to overpower pacesetter Stamphillshadow GB and post a 1:51.2 victory in Thursday’s (Oct. 29) $10,000 high-end conditioned pacing feature for fillies and mares at Rosecroft Raceway.
Eric Davis floated Go Now forward off the gate and settled the 5-year-old Always A Virgin-Oh How Gracious mare in midfield on the first turn while Stamphillshadow GB (driven by Fern Paquet Jr.) drilled a :26.4 first quarter. With just over a circuit to go, Go Now was overtaken by the parked Zebs Breaking Dawn (Nicky Ratledge) and immediately slid into a live second-over tow on approach to the :56 half-mile station.

Zebs Breaking Dawn ground to within a neck of Stamphillshadow GB upon reaching the backstretch but began to fade with three-eighths to go, prompting Davis to circle three-wide with Go Now and push to the lead before the 1:23.4 three-quarters. Go Now made easy work of Stamphillshadow GB and drew clear under a stout drive to evade stablemate Badditude, who escaped a failing pocket to save second, by 4-1/2 lengths. Cover The Crown (Brandon Givens), the even-money favorite, mounted a belated four-wide rally off the home turn to finish third.
Bryson Dunning trains 22-time winner Go Now, who paid $22 to win.
Go Now was one of three winners on the 13-race card for Davis, who shared top driving honors with Brandon Givens.
Live racing returns to Rosecroft on Monday (Nov. 2). The 13-race card features a pair of carryovers: $535.07 in the Early Pick-4 (races 5-8) and $13,927.33 in the Jackpot Hi-5 (race 13). First post is 7:15 p.m. (EST).
