Goldin secures first career win at Rosecroft

Fort Washington, MD – Harness Racing has been the family business for Alexandra Goldin. Admittedly, she pushed off Vet School after college to train standardbreds.

Tuesday (Feb. 13) night at Rosecroft Raceway, Goldin, participating in the Mid Atlantic Amatuer Drivers Club, secured her first driving win, as she scored a 40-1 upset with a relentless Bankin On Bomb.

Leaving from post four, Goldin floated out as Lenda Hand Man and Crush Hanover made bids for the early lead. With no room at the pylons, Golding allowed her charge to run his own race parked out first over. At one point, she had the lead briefly down the backside but ultimately lost ground in the turns as the 13-year old Relentless Yankee gelding appeared to be tiring. It was simply not the case. Seven horses converged on the wire and between them emerged Bankin On Bomb one more time to win in dramatic fashion and light up the tote board. Ironically, she and the horse were 7-1 from a similar post last week against the heavy favorite Marty Monkhauser A.

It was just the fourth drive for Goldin in the series at Rosecroft and gave the horse his second win in 2024. Last year, Bankin On Bomb made just four appearances on the board in 33 starts. Bart Dalious trains for owner Morgan Lister.

Stacey Mclenaghan won the first division with Heartlandbanysbro for owner-trainer John Wagner.

Justin Walters, and Johnathan Ahle won three times on the card, while Tyler Miller and Trae Porter each won twice.William Carter and Richard Titter also recorded driving wins.
