Greatest Ending sells for $172,000, tops onGait auctions Thursday

Boca Raton, FL — Greatest Ending p,3,1:50.3f led all auctions Thursday afternoon at onGait, bringing a winning bid of $172,000 from Anthony MacDonald’s The Stable of Ontario.

The $332,000 winning 4-year-old son of Somebeachsomewhere just paced a career fastest 1:48 in a leg of the Graduate Series at The Meadowlands. He was sold by the ownership group of Let It Ride Stables Inc., Bottom Line Racing LLC, Diamond Creek Racing, and McKinlay & Fielding.

Earlier this week, Knight’s Tale p,3,1:54.1f, a 3-year-old full sister to millionaire Workin Ona Mystery, left the Brett Pelling barn after selling for $72,000 to Mark Weaver; Climb The Pole 3,1:55.3s, a 3-year-old Kadabra filly owned by the Steve Heimbecker/Amanda Fine partnership, went to Aaron Byron of Ontario for $66,200; and Standingonthesand 3,Q1:57s, a lightly raced 3-year-old son of Walner was sold by Steve Heimbecker to David Jarvis of Virginia for $49,000.

Currently in the auction ring are Wolftrax p,4,1:50.3f, a winner of over $66,000 this year for the Erv Miller barn, his stablemate Partner Dolan 3,1:54.4f, and Taxi Out S 7,1:53.4, fresh off his lifetime best mile at The Meadowlands.
