At the ITS-ASTE in Italy the filly Ice Wise As was sold for 220,000 Euro to the famous Italian horseman Mauro Biasuzzi. This was the highest price at the sale, where the average price was 27,150 Euro.
Ice Wise As hails from the first crop by Swedish Derby winner Calgary Games and is out of Temple Blue Chip, she by Cantab Hall. Temple Blue Chip 3,1:57.1f ($38,295) has been a very good producer in Europe and her first six foals have all raced and won.
Vivid Wise As (sired by Yankee Glide) is her best foal, who has a mark of 1:50.2f and 3,474,842 Euro. In 2023 he won the International Trot at Yonkers.
Her 3-year-old colt, Far Wise As (sired by Face Time Bourbon), is trained in Sweden by Jerry Riordan is one of the leading contenders for the Italian Trotting Derby next month.
Including Ice Wise As, the seven foals out of Temple Blue Chip have been sold for a total of 889,000 Euro — or an average price of 127,000 Euro.
At the ITS-ASTE sale, the second highest price was 145,000 Euro, which was paid for the colt Isfahan As (sired by Maharajah).
