Lexington, KY – Pacing colt Hey Bulldog, a son of Bulldog Hanover-Coronet, sold for $500,000 to Andrew Harris, as agent for Punisher 11 Stable, to top Tuesday’s (Oct. 6) second session of the Lexington Selected Yearling Sale at the Fasig-Tipton Pavilion.
Hey Bulldog is a half-brother to 2-year-old filly Dame Frances, who won on the Kentucky Sire Stakes circuit this season and finished fourth in the Kentucky Championship Series final. His second dam is Dan Patch Award-winner American Jewel and the family also includes Grade 1 stakes-winner Odds On Platinum and millionaire Luck Be Withyou.
He was bred by The Bay’s Stable, Polger Stables, Clay Horner, and Little E LLC. He was consigned by Hunterton Sales Agency and is Ontario and Kentucky eligible.

Second on the best-sellers list was trotting colt Trotabilitarmitage, a son of Chapter Seven-White Cheetah who went for $450,000 to Ken Jacobs. He is a full brother to graded stakes winner and 2024 New York Sire Stakes champ Variegated. The New York and Kentucky eligible colt was bred and consigned by Armitage Farm.
Trotting filly Miss Kronos, a daughter of Tactical Landing-Firefly FR, was the third-highest seller, purchased for $300,000 by Ecurie CSL. She was bred by Winged Lion Breeding AB and Steve Stewart and consigned by Hunterton Sales Agency. She is New Jersey and Kentucky eligible.
Tuesday’s group of 256 yearlings sold for a total of $21.5 million, an average of $84,258. Last year on day two, 222 yearlings sold for $19.1 million, an average of $86,333.
This year overall, 367 horses have been sold for $43.7 million, an average of 119,229. The average is nearly identical to last year, when 342 horses sold for just shy of $41 million and an average of $119,787.
Marcus Melander, as agent, leads all buyers, at $2.63 million for 12 yearlings. Åke Svanstedt is next, at $2.27 million for nine yearlings while Harris, as agent for Punisher 11 Stable, follows at $1.98 million for six.
The leading trotting sire through the two sessions was Walner, with 67 yearlings selling for a total of $10.96 million. Chapter Seven led in average, at $218,162 for 37 yearlings, a total of $8.07 million.
On the pacing side, Confederate led in gross with 40 yearlings selling for $3.97 million. Right behind him was Captaintreacherous, with 40 yearlings going for $3.82 million. Bulldog Hanover led in average, at $251,667 for three yearlings, followed by Huntsville at $112,267 for 15 yearlings.
Prior to the start of Tuesday’s session, eight breedings were auctioned off to benefit this year’s Breeders Crown Charity Challenge. The stallions, and winning bidders, were: Walner, Michelle Crawford, $45,000; In Range, Armitage Farm, $31,000; Downbytheseaside, Michelle Crawford, $20,000; Huntsville, Jim Crawford, $12,000; King Of The North, Jim Crawford, $11,000; Ready For Moni, Jim Crawford, $10,000; Winner’s Bet, Jim Crawford, $10,000; Greenshoe, Winbak Farm, $7,000.
The four-day sale will continue Wednesday at 11 a.m. (EDT) and conclude Thursday with a 7 p.m. session.
