Edgerton, OH — The Defiance County (Ohio) Area Horsemen’s Association has regretfully decided to cancel its matinee harness racing program that was scheduled for May 24 at Hicksville, Ohio.

A horse which was briefly stabled at the Defiance County Fairgrounds from April 28-May 10 was determined on Wednesday (May 14) to have strangles.

The decision to cancel the matinee was made as a precautionary measure for all concerned.
