Nichols, NY — Hunting Zone (Tyler Miller) takes the featured $11,000 pace at Tioga Downs on Sunday (May 11).
Komodo Beach (Colin Kelly) went straight for the lead and led to the quarter in :26. Hunting Zone ($5.50) took over control with a lap to go and led to the half in :54.1. He cruised to three-quarters in 1:22.2.
As they reached the stretch second place finisher Komodo Beach was all out after the leader but Hunting Zone won easily in 1:51.3. Intimidation (Ridge Warren) finished third.
Hunting Zone is a 5-year-old gelding by Huntsville. He is owned by Pollack Racing and trained by Jeff Cullipher. It was his fourth win this season. He now has 12 career victories.
Braxten Boyd gets a driving grand slam.
Boyd got his wins with Hardball Hanover, Scootnroll, World For Two, and BB Lucky Boy.
