In Nevada N, Chiodo win GSY pace

East Rutherford, NJ — The GSY Series took to the Meadowlands in Friday’s (Jan. 13) first race, and the result was anything but unlucky for In Nevada N and Bruno Chiodo.

Ten pacers went to post, and nobody was parked to the quarter as the field settled in with everyone finding a spot. Tony Ciuffetelli sent long shot Marcus Seelster to the lead from post position eight through torrid opening fractions of :27 and :54!! His strides shortened as the field entered the stretch, enabling horses from far off the pace to get into the mix. When the field hit the finish line, favorite In Nevada N reigned victorious by way of a ground-saving trip after holding off the other closers to win by a half length over Always A Panther (Joseph Lee) and Night Explorer (Tony Beltrami) in 1:55.3.

In Nevada N, a 6-year old gelding, is owned by Chiodo Racing LLC and is trained by Bruno’s wife, Stacy Chiodo.

The GSY Series is scheduled to be back in action next Friday (Jan. 20) at the Meadowlands. Post time is scheduled for 6:20 p.m.
