Lebanon, OH — In The End snapped a 13-race winless streak to take the $21,000 trotting feature at Miami Valley Raceway on Tuesday night (April 21).
In The End and Chris Page left alertly to protect the rail position with My Next Chapter and Tally The Tab to her outside. As they moved through the first turn, My Next Chapter won on track to take command before breaking stride and taking back, leaving Tally The Tab to press on and take over the front. As they passed the opening quarter in :28.4, In The End was right back out to retake control, moving Tally The Tab back to the pocket with Volstarita, Nelli Up and Tiny Tom behind in single file with My Next Chapter about eight lengths back and last week’s winner Calculated Concept far back after early breaks. The field remained in that order through a patient :59.2 half and most of the trip up the backside.
As they passed three-quarters in 1:28, In The End continued to show the way with Tally The Tab in second. Volstarita pulled first-over to begin her charge and she pulled within a length on the final turn. As they turned for home, In The End was still there by a length, and Volstarita and Tally The Tab were locked in a battle behind her with Nelli Up closing from the outside. At the wire, it was all In The End to win by 1-1/2 lengths in 1:56.2.

Nelli Up rallied for second while Volstarita held off Tally The Tab for third.
For the Anette Lorentzon trainee In The End, it was her ninth lifetime win in just 33 starts, pushing her lifetime earnings north of $212,000.
Tyler Smith led everyone with a driving triple while Trevor Smith, Trace Tetrick, Cam McCown and Page each had a driving double on the card. Trainers Robert Cleary, Lorentzon, Herman Hagerman and Brian Brown also had doubles on the night.
Racing returns on Wednesday night (April 22) at 4 p.m.
