Dover, DE — Inaminute Hanover scored at 5-1 to win the $18,000 Winners Over/Select Handicap Trot at Bally’s Dover Downs on Tuesday night (Feb. 25).
Swan’s Maid, the only female trotter in the race, pressed the issue early and parked out Last Glow. That Ole Bar Stool also left from the outside but retreated to the pylons in fourth approaching the quarter. Last Glow cleared the lead but may have paid the price as he trotted to the opening panel in a sizzling :27.1 before driver Jack Parker Jr. backed off the half to a pedestrian :57.3.
Rivers, the 2-1 favorite, raced first-over before the half and gained momentum up the backstretch. Mickey Muscles raced second-over in full pursuit of the leader and Swan’s Maid waited patiently in the pocket. Inaminute Hanover appeared to be locked in until Mickey Muscles went off stride before the three-quarters. Driver Russell Foster and Inaminute Hanover were able to angle off the pylons and raced in perfect position to strike on the outside.
Last Glow amped up his game reaching the three quarters in 1:25.3. Inaminute Hanover, a beneficiary of good racing fortune, charged home at the top of the stretch and out-sprinted Swan’s Maid at the wire to win by a half length in 1:55. Rivers was third.

Inaminute Hanover, who paid $13.60 to win, is owned by Beauty Bridle Racing Stable and trained by Jenny Bier.
Tony Morgan drove four winners on the betting card.
Wednesday night’s (Feb. 26) feature, the $25,000 Mares Open Handicap Pace, takes place as the 14th race on the card. Majorca N vies for her fourth consecutive win in the class, and her main competition includes Incaseyoudidntknow and Disturbed Hanover. There is a Pick-4 carryover of $2,838, a Pick-3 carryover of $1,465, and a Pick-5 carryover of $490. First post is 4:30 p.m.
