Dover, DE — Incaseyoudidntknow overcame strong winds and welcomed a drop in class to win the $17,000 winners-over feature for pacing mares at Bally’s Dover on Wednesday night (Dec. 4).
Driver Jim Morand and 1-9 favorite Incaseyoudidntknow left stubbornly along the pylons and forced the field to take seats approaching the quarter pole.
Incaseyoudidntknow raced confidently on the engine and set fractions of :26, :56 and 1:24.2. Lou’s Lucky Girl raced first-over up the backstretch followed by the second-over Kissin Joe. Those bids stalled approaching the top of the stretch as Incaseyoudidntknow drew off to win by 5-1/2 lengths in 1:53.2.
Doing Marvelous circled stalled cover from third-over to finish second; Got The Gold was third.
Incaseyoudidntknow, a 6-year-old Always B Miki mare, is trained by Les Gives and owned by James Magno and Joseph Fonte. She paid $2.10 to win.
Tim Tetrick scored four driving wins on the card. Morand and Corey Callahan recorded driving triples.
Thursday’s (Dec. 5) feature is the $25,000 Blue Hen/Open Handicap Pace, featuring I Did It Myway and Itsrockandroll A. First post for the 15-race pari-mutuel card is 4:30 p.m.
