Wilkes-Barre, PA — Incommunicado kept alive an impressive winning streak when he dominated the featured Open trot on Saturday (August 26) afternoon at Pocono Downs at Mohegan Pennsylvania. The race carried the day’s top purse of $30,000.

Leaving from post position five in a field of six, Incommunicado, a five-year-old gelding by Chapter Seven trained by Ake Svanstedt, was made the 1-2 favorite. He stayed off a blistering early pace set by What Should I Go (Anthony Napolitano), sitting fourth until the back stretch. That’s when driver George Napolitano Jr. called on Incommunicado for a first-over brush, and the favorite made up an eight-length deficit by the time they hit the three-quarter pole. From there, he easily dusted What Should I Goo and hustled away to win in six lengths in 1:51:4. Amigo Volo (Bradley Chisholm) finished second and Yanks Dugout picked up the show.

The win gives Incommunicado four wins in a row, with two of those victories at Pocono sandwiching single scores at Harrah’s at Philadelphia and Yonkers. It was his fifth win in nine overall this year. Incommunicado now has 20 lifetime victories and career earnings of $673,257.

Pocono Downs at Mohegan Pennsylvania resumes live racing on Sunday night (August 27) with a first post time of 6 PM EDT. There are 10 races on the Pocono Sunday card.
