Dover, DE – Itsrockandroll A won wire-to-wire in the $25,000 Open Handicap Pace at Bally’s Dover on Thursday (March 20) night.
Driver Allan Davis took full advantage of the speed favoring sloppy racing surface and rocketed Itsrockandroll A to the top at the start of the race. AdamTwelve settled in the pocket. Wehadababyitzaboy, normally a closer, left quickly from the outside and was able to settle in third approaching the quarter.

Itrockandroll A, the 9/5 betting favorite, rolled through fractions of :27.1 to the opening quarter. He breezed to the half in :56, a :29.3 quarter. Driver Jason Green guided Wehadababyitzaboy to the outside from third past the half and was charging hard down the backstretch. Alta Revelry N grabbed the second-over cover. Captaincountrystar followed third-over on the rim. Adam Twelve accepted the pocket trip.
Wehadababyitzaboy and Itsrockandroll A matched strides and battled to the three-quarters in 1:23.3, a :27.3 quarter.
Itsrockandroll A surged late in the stretch to win by a half-length in 1:51.4. He paid $5.60 for the win. Wehadababyitzaboy finished second Adam Twelve was third. Itsrockandroll A (A Rocknroll Dance) is owned by Elizabeth and Bret Brittingham both from Delaware. Don Brittingham trained and Allan Davis.
Young Trea Porter, a third-generation harness driver, earned a four bagger with four driving wins.
