Harrington, DE – Elizabeth and Bret Brittingham’s Itsrockandroll A ($5.80, Allan Davis) was a 1:52 winner in the $20,000 Open Monday (June 5) at Harrington Raceway.

The 8-year-old A Rocknroll Dance gelding pulled from the pocket near the three-quarters, then cleared pacesetter Grand Cayman and never looked back in an open length win over Metallica and Major Betts. Trained by Don Brittingham, it was his third win of the season.

Driver Jason Thompson was injured in the fourth race when his mount Tru Lou got rough gaited shortly after the start and fell. Thompson was taken to a nearby hospital for further evaluation for an apparent arm injury. Tru Lou appeared to avoid any significant injuries.

Allan Davis and Art Stafford Jr. each had three wins on the card.

A carryover of $2,599 in the Pick-5 will await bettors for the Tuesday (June 6) program. The Pick- 5 is a 50-cent base wager and starts in race two nightly.
