Jamaica Turbo tops French mixed sale

Jamaica Turbo, a 4-year-old mare, brought the top price at the Arqana Trot Spring Sale held in Deauville, as she was sold for 190,000 Euro.

Jamaica Turbo has stamped herself as a top trotter. From 19 races she has five wins, earnings of 204,700 Euro and she has a record of 1:55.3 over the mile.

She was sold to dissolve a partnership and trainer Fabrice Souloy bought her on behalf of one of the former owners, Ecurie Le Tremont.

The second highest price was paid for another 4-year-old mare, the unraced Jelina Josselyn, a three-quarter sister in blood to Belina Josselyn, winner of the Prix d’Amerique and Prix de France. Jelina Josselyn was sold for 60,000 Euro.

The average price went up 27.8 percent to 15,667 Euro and 84 of the 110 trotters who went through the ring was sold.
