Bucyrus, OH – James M. Teynor, aged 74, passed away on June 8, 2026, in Bucyrus, Ohio. Born on October 21, 1951, James spent his formative years in Bucyrus and graduated from Bucyrus High School.

From a young age, he was deeply involved in the family masonry business, eventually co-owning Design Built Construction with his brothers.
James was a devout member of Calvary Baptist Church in Bucyrus, where he participated actively in the church community. His love for harness horse racing as owner and driver, golf, and bowling filled his leisure time, reflecting his vibrant and engaging personality.
He is remembered as a loving and caring individual by family and friends, particularly cherished for the Sunday dinners his mom hosted for his family in earlier years.
James leaves behind his wife, Sharon Teynor, stepchildren Angela (Duane) Schramek, and Brian (Lindsay) Scarbro. His life was further enriched by his grandchildren, Eleanor and Spencer Scarbro, and Quinton and Quade Looman. He is also survived by his brothers, Jeff (Deb) Teynor and Joe (Leeann) Teynor, along with several nieces and nephews.
James was preceded in death by his parents James and Kathryn Teynor, his sister Jean (Teynor) Hewitt, and brother Jerry (Turtle) Teynor.
Per his wishes, no services will be held. James years of dedication to his family and community remains a cherished memory for all who knew him.
