Jet Hill looks for Ohio Sires Stakes three-peat

Grove City, OH – Jet Hill will try to make it three for three in Ohio Sires Stake action Tuesday (July 4) at Eldorado Scioto Downs as sophomore colt trotters wrap up the third leg with two $55,000 divisions.

Jet Hill is coming off a world-record performance in the second leg at MGM Northfield Park, setting a new mark for 3-year-old gelded trotters on a half-mile track. The son of What The Hill is the 2-1 favorite. Kurt Sugg will drive for trainer Edward Miller. Jet Hill has hit the board in ten of 11 career starts, winning six. He has four wins in five starts this year for the Serenity Racing Stables.

In the other division, previous winners Rumble Strips and Jogging Full Trot will square off.

Rumble Strips was a winner in the first leg for trainer Mike Polhamus and owners Constance Polhamus and Mary Beth Walters. Rumble Strips has hit the board in all five starts this year winning two. Kayne Kaufman will drive the 9-5 favorite.

Jogging Full Trot has won three of six this year including the first leg of the OSS. Dan Noble will drive for trainer Miles Wollam. Jogging Full Trot is owned by Julie Ann Sweet, Dale Sweet, and Marty Wollam.

Also in the field is two-time Buckeye Stallion Series winner Burton’s Hill. The What The Hill gelding has won six of eight this year for trainer Virgil Morgan Jr. Brett Miller will drive for owner Joyce McClelland.

First race post time is 3:15 p.m.
