Harrington, DE — Bob Shahan’s Jett Propelled ($5, Jason Thompson) was a 1:54.3 winner in the featured $22,500 Mares Open Pace on Tuesday (May 5) at Harrington Raceway.
Nite Time Deal assumed command of the featured field of pacing mares from post position 6 and led the field through fractions of :26.4, :55.3 and 1:24.4. Stevie Hanover then made a fierce first-over charge and cleared the pacesetter on the final turn. At the top of the stretch, Jett Propelled fanned three-wide and surged by to hit the wire first for her sixth win of the year.
Almost Persuaded was second with Stevie Hanover third.
It was Jett Propelled’s 22nd career win; she boosted her lifetime earnings in excess of $485,000 and seasonal earnings to approximately $123,000.
Brandon Givens had four wins on the program. Mike Cole and Trae Porter each had a pair of wins.
