Joviality S heading to Vincennes

The 4-year-old mare Joviality S will make her racing debut on French soil Sunday afternoon (Dec. 24) in the Criterium Continental at Vincennes, where the winner will get a bye for the Prix d’Amerique.

Joviality S, now trained in Sweden by Sabine Kagebrant, will have the French driver Benjamin Rochard in the bike.

A field of 18 trotters are entered in the race, which carries a total purse of 240,000 Euro; the purse for the winner is 108,000 Euro.

Joviality S has drawn fifth behind the gate. The race favorite is the French trotter 2 Jushua Tree (sired by Bold Eagle) with trainer/driver Jean Michel Bazire.

On the same card the Prix Tenor de Baune for 5-year-old trotters is programmed and the winner will also receive a bye to the Prix d’Amerique. Some 12 trotters are entered with Idao de Tillard of France as the heavy favorite.
