Joviality S, now trained in Sweden by Sabina Kagebrant and still owned by Courant Stable AB, was favored to win the race and did it by 1-1/2 lengths with Erik Adielsson in the bike, timed in 1:56.2f (mile rate).

The Queens Trophy is the first big stake race in Sweden in 2023 for 4-year-old mares.

This was just the second start in Europe for Joviality S and she was the 4-10 favorite.

The Kings Trophy, also with $100,000 for the winner, had Dancer Brodde with trainer/driver Johan Untersteiner as the favorite at 2-1. Dancer Brodde was in command the whole trip and won in 1:55.2f (mile rate).

The richest race on the day was the Paralympic Trot, which also was won by the favorite, San Moteur with trainer/driver Björn Goop, a 6-year-old trotter sired by Panne de Moteur (he by Credit Winner). His dam is sired by Ready Cash.

San Moteur took command with seven-eighths of a mile to go in the 1-5/16 mile event and stayed on to win handily in 1:54f (mile rate) followed by the French/Dutch trotter Hade de Vandel with Robbin Bakker, three lengths back. Rackham with Christoffer Eriksson was third.

San Moteur earned $150,000 for the win.

San Moteur was the first trotter to be invited to the upcoming Elitlopp later this month and is the favorite.
