Joviality S victorious for the third time in Sweden

The 4-year-old mare Joviality S, who last year was named 3-year-old trotting filly of the year after winning more than $1 million, is now racing in Europe.

On Wednesday night (June 21), Joviality S won the Prix Diane Zet at Solvalla (1-5/16 mile) in a hand drive from Erik Adielsson timed in 1:54.1 (mile rate); the purse for the winner was $37,500.

This was her third win from four starts in Sweden.

Joviality S, trained by Sabine Kagebrant and owned by Courant Stable, will now be headed for Stochampionatet — one of the biggest races in Sweden for 4-year-old mares. The distance, 2,640 meters — or 1-5/8 mile — will be a first for Joviality S.

Qualifications will be raced on July 14 and the final on July 23. In the final the purse for the winner is $112,000.
