Columbus, OH — The June issue of Hoof Beats highlights the efforts of harness racing’s movers and shakers to put the sport — and the Standardbred breed as a whole — in front of thousands of new eyes.

USTA director Ashley Tetrick, who graces the cover, is featured in “She Wears Many Hats,” which Jessica Hallett penned to showcase Tetrick’s vast and varied efforts to grow the sport’s audience and advocate for its equine participants.
Also, Hoof Beats editor James Witherite caught up with Meadows track photographer (and multimedia Swiss army knife) Chris Gooden to discuss his career, his art, and how he has embraced technology to capture harness racing from a plethora of perspectives and expand the sport’s reach via social media.
