Oslo, Norway – On Sunday afternoon (June 8), 7-year-old Swedish trotter Kentucky River finally succeeded in winning the Group 1 race he has been so eager to win multiple times.
Despite being parked on the outside of leading Ônas Princ in the Oslo Grand Prix at the Bjerke track in Oslo, Kentucky River, with Örjan Kihlström, managed to fight past Ônas Prince, with Per Nordström, down the stretch and win by a nose in 1.54f (mile rate). The purse for the winner was $100,000.
