Kimelman wins MADC race at Big M

East Rutherford, NJ – The rain held up for the first race and only MADC event on the Friday night card at the Big M; another race completed, and another non-favorite winning this wide open affair.

In the first and only MADC race on the night, it was one of the regular leavers in these events who took the lead. Claytons Bettor N (James Slendorn) took the lead through a quick 26.4 first stanza but was quickly challenged on the outside by longshot, Make It Big (Kubi Erzene). These two dueled down the backside through a 55 second first half mile and set it up for the closers to come a calling. It was Brazen Brazilian (Michael Kimelman) who grinded his way into contention and held off his main contender to his outside, Thndrfrmthethron N (Neil Glasser), to win by a half of length. The final time was 1:52.

Rounding out the trifecta was Gotta Minute N (William Clark Jr.). The winner was dismissed by the betting public and went off a generous 9-1 odds and paid $20.80 for every $2 win wager!! This 6 year-old gelding is family owned by a trio of Kimelmans (Olivia, Sara, and Michael), all out of NY and is trained by Kimelman himself.

The MADC will be back next week with the first post on Friday night scheduled for 6:20pm.
