Lady Says Win does just that at Rosecroft

Ft. Washington, MD — Lady Says Win ($24.00) used a perfect pocket trip from driver Trae Porter to secure the win in the $14,500 Mares Open Pace Tuesday night (March 14) at Rosecroft Raceway.

On a cold night, where the winds were sustained at 25 mph creating a sturdy headwind in the stretch, Porter put his charge behind the pacesetting Somegirlsomewherea. As the field turned for home, Lady Says Win ducked into the passing lane and gradually eased past the leader, to win in 1:55.

Justin Brenneman trains the winner for Mike Brenton’s J M B Ventures, and has done an awesome job bringing the 5-year- old daughter of Western Terror back from a broken knee after winning five of her 20 starts in 2022 before the injury.

Jonathan Ahle won the $13,500 Open Trot with Yall Beneath Me as the son of Googoo Gaagaa lowered his aged stallion trotting mark at Rosecroft to 1:53.2. It was the 23rd win in 36 lifetime starts for the trotter who has earnings of $248,784.

Ahle won three times on the card, winning twice for trainer Eric Foster.

Paul Kramer and Robert Sampson took divisions of the Mid-Atlantic Amateur Drivers Club and Justin Vincent scored a monumental upset with Sheezafrostedflame at 71-1.
