The March 15 deadline is drawing near for many stakes payments. Below are a list of notices that have recently been submitted to the USTA Newsroom. The following information regarding upcoming stakes payments is not meant to be a complete list of every required stakes payment. It is a list of only those notifications that have been provided directly to the USTA for posting here. For more information on payments, click here.
Parshall Stakes deadline is March 17
Washington Court House, OH — Payments postmarked Monday (March 17), or emailed by midnight (March 17) will be accepted for the Dr. H.M. Parshall Memorial Stakes.

Two-year-old payments due March 15 in Maryland
Ocean Pines, MD — Two-year-old payments (foals of 2023) are due to the Maryland Standardbred Fund and the Maryland Sire Stakes on March 15.
As per regulation, we will accept a postmark of Monday (March 17) since the payment date falls on a weekend.
This payment must be made to maintain eligibility.
All staking forms, race dates and stallion pedigrees are now available online. Please use our website for all your current MSRF info and any updates as they become available.
We recommend that all payments be sent by certified mail or priority mail with tracking. Please use the following address for the Maryland Standardbred Race Fund: P.O. Box 1530, Ocean Pines, MD 21811.

Nominations due Monday for Graduate Series
Milton, ON — The Woodbine Mohawk Park Race Office reminds racing participants that nominations for this year’s Canadian Sired 4-Year-Old Graduate Series close on Monday (March 17).
The Canadian Graduate features two preliminary legs and a C$75,000 added money final.
The details and dates for each event are listed below.
Open Pace Series
Nomination fee: C$500 (US$400)

Payment due March 15 for 2026 Meadowlands Pace
East Rutherford, NJ — The $400 sustaining payment on 2-year-olds (foals of 2023) to race in the 2026 Meadowlands Pace is due March 15 (postmarked by March 17).
There is a supplemental payment of $1,000 that may be made to gain eligibility for any foal of 2023 that was not made eligible by the yearling payment.

Sustaining payments for all 2025 Meadowlands stakes are also due on March 15. The list of eligible horses for all those stakes is posted on the website.

Nichols, NY — The Empire Breeders Classic payments come due March 15 (payments postmarked by March 17 will be accepted).

Ohio stakes payments due March 15
Grove City, OH — Nominations and staking payments for 2- and three-year-olds in Ohio-sired stake races are due Saturday (March 15).
Staking payments for the Ohio Sires Stakes, Buckeye Stallion Series, Ohio Fair Racing Conference, Ohio Fair Championships, and the Ohio State Fair Stakes should be sent to the Ohio Harness Horsemen’s Association. All nominations and payments must have an official United States Postal Service postmark no later than March 15 to be accepted.
Completed forms should be sent to the Ohio Harness Horsemen’s Association, 2237 Sonora Drive, Grove City, OH 43123.
Other Ohio-sired stake nominations due to be postmarked on March 15 include the Home Talent Colt Stakes, Ohio Colt Racing Association, Southern Valley Colt Circuit, Ohio Breeders’ Championship, the Dr. H.M. Parshall Memorial, and the James K. Hackett Memorial events.

Delaware (OH) stakes payments due March 15
Delaware, OH — Two-year-old sustaining payments for the 81st edition of the Little Brown Jug (Grade 1), the 56th Jugette (Grade 1), the 74th Old Oaken Bucket (3-year-old open trot – Grade 3) and the 74th Buckette (3-year-old filly trot – Grade 3) are due March 15. These payments are for foals of 2023 and will be raced in 2026.
Two-year-olds not nominated in the May 15, 2024, yearling payment may be made eligible through a supplemental nomination fee on or before the March 15 payment. This supplemental payment is in addition to the normal March 15 payment. Please visit the staking section of ustrotting.com to see the details.
Sustaining payments are also due for the 86th Standardbred 2-year-old colt and filly stakes for foals of 2023 to be raced in 2025.
The $1.2 million (est.) Ohio Breeders Championships require a single $300 ($100 for the older events) nomination payment due March 15, with no further sustaining payments required.
Also on the Delaware County Fair race schedule are $20,000 legs of the Buckeye Stallion Series. To nominate to the BSS, a $250 nomination fee is due with no further sustaining payments required.
The Delaware County Fair is once again pleased to be a part of the Ohio Fair Racing Conference. The OFRC events require either a $75 nomination fee for just the Delaware County Fair or $440 for all the OFRC events.
Nominations for the BSS and ORFC events must be postmarked by March 15 and sent directly to the Ohio Harness Horsemen’s Association, 2237 Sonora Drive, Grove City, OH 43123.
