Layton Hanover brings $120k at onGait

Boca Raton, FL — Fast-class pacer Layton Hanover p,3,1:50.1f sold for $120,000 on Thursday afternoon (May 9) at onGait.com.

The 5-year-old son of Captaintreacherous was coming off three straight wins at Yonkers for the Travis Alexander stable. Mike Hall of Delaware was the winning bidder.

Also this week, the Courtly Choice filly Violetta Blue Chip p,3,1:55.1h-’24 was purchased for $61,000 by Ken Jacobs of New York from the partnership of Randy Bendis and Pollack Racing; Overboard 3,1:53.4, a 4-year-old Father Patrick mare, was sold by John McKeon Jr. of Pennsylvania for $51,000 to Diamond Creek Farm’s Adam Bowden; and the Ontario-based Freaky Feet Pete 3-year-old Don’t Freak Out p,2,1:54s was purchased for $39,100 by JD Perrin of Ohio from Canadians Brock Maclellan and Dale Spence.

Currently in the onGait auction ring are Kickupyaheels N p,8,1:50f, a winner of over $33,000 so far in 2024; Per Engblom-trained trotters Coventry Hall 3,1:52.4f and Global Believer S 6,1:53.2f; and JG’s Pal 2,1:56.2, a stakes-winning Tactical Landing 3-year-old from the Linda Toscano stable.
