Grove City, OH – Made For More and Miz Ella Paige recorded victories as Northfield Park Racino hosted two $75,000 divisions of the fourth leg of the Ohio Sires Stakes for freshman filly trotters on Sunday (Aug. 16).

Made For More (driven by Chris Lems) scored her second OSS win of the season, taking the first division in 1:56.1. The Long Tom filly led gate to wire, recording fractions of :29, :58.4, and 1:27.4 en route to winning by 2-1/2 lengths over Moni Line (Kurt Sugg). Janet’s Big Star (Tyler Smith) was third.
Made For More is trained by Vernon Beachy for owner John Schlabach. A winner in The Next Generation in 1:56.4 and the third leg of the OSS in a lifetime-best 1:54.1 — both at Eldorado Scioto Downs — she has hit the board in all six seasonal starts with four victories and two seconds while banking $189,750.
After recording two seconds and a third in the first three legs of the OSS this season, Miz Ella Paige (Sam Widger) came out on top in the second division in Sunday’s fourth leg in a lifetime mark of 1:57.3. The Uncle Peter filly led gate to wire with fractions of :29, :59.3, and 1:28.2, winning by 3 lengths over Rose Run Cybill (Sugg) with Lady Bountiful (Chris Page) in third.
Miz Ella Paige is owned by trainer Karen Fread and Randy Toth. The filly has hit the board in all five seasonal starts with two wins, two seconds, and one third to go with $73,000 in earnings.
Celebrating its 50th season, the Ohio Sires Stakes continues Monday (Aug. 17) with the fourth leg for freshman male trotters at Northfield Park Racino.
