Columbus, OH — Marion Lois Simpson, 81, died June 6, 2023.

She leaves behind her husband, John Simpson Jr., along with her three sons and four grandchildren.

She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Anyone that was fortunate enough to meet her would always say that she was a special person. She was always there at the racetrack with Johnny, rooting him on to the winner’s circle.

She carried that on by watching all of her grandchildren at their numerous sporting events through middle school and high school.

She would also spend her time making monkey bread, cinnamon bread, pepper jelly, and her famous rum cake, not only for her family, but for the numerous people in her life she called a friend.

She will be missed by all that knew her, but now she is resting in peace with all of her family, friends and most of all her numerous animals that she cared for throughout her lifetime. Heaven has gained another angel!
