Berlin, MD — The 2-year-old trotting fillies opened the evening at Ocean Downs with an early non-wagering Maryland Sire Stakes event on Wednesday (Aug. 16).

Reinsman Russell Foster sent Only I Exist gate-to-wire in her 10-1/2 length victory over New Concept (Lockkeeper). Only I Exist, from the first crop of Yall Beneath Me, continues a long line of winning homebreds from the Richard Hans Stable with the most notable being her grandsire Googoo Gaagaa.

The freshman pacing colts and geldings went to post in race five on the card. Cloggs For Real (Rusty’s For Real) held off several challenges in the final quarter, the most serious from For You Girls (Dontloseyourdayjob), coming from seventh at the half to get within 1-1/4 lengths of the winner in the 2:00 mile.
